As many of you are no doubt already aware, I operate this blog and its sister site Backwoods Essentials as a home-based business. It allows me to make my own hours and being at the homestead every day allows me to see to the preparations for me and mine more actively.

It is not, however, easy. In fact, it takes up a great deal of time and effort. Aside from writing the actual articles for the blog, I spend my day answering emails, fulfilling orders and fighting with suppliers... and, that's before I get into the day's news.
