Retail Stores Closing Doors

Retail Stores Closing Doors: "Announcements continue to roll in from retailers that have decided to close stores, slow expansion plans or cease operations altogether.

From Blockbuster to Payless, we update our 2009 roundup with the latest news from the third quarter. See which retailers are closing (at least some) of their doors. Are any of them your favorites?"

Some hurtful losses (at least for me personally) include over 200 Walden Books, 117 Rite Aid Pharmacy and a whole slew of Advance Auto Parts locations. Living in a rural area has many benefits, but in these kinds of situation our stores are nearly always on the chopping-block as a lower population density typically means lower annual receipts.

So, when your comment doesn't appear immediately, *DO NOT* throw a hissy-fit and assume I'm refusing negative comments (yes, it really happened). I approve pretty much everything that isn't obvious SPAM, negative or not, and I promise you that will include your hissy-fit comments, accusing me of a grand conspiracy to squash dissenting ideas (also really happened). The result, of course, being that you will look like a fool, and the rest of us will laugh heartily at your stupidity.
