After several days of speculation as to whether or not she would peter out over the warm waters of the Gulf and what path she might take if she was to hit, it appears likely that Hurricane Ida will make landfall sometime Monday. After wavering a bit, she has strengthened back up to that of a Category 2 Hurricane.
Please, if you live in the effected area and even if you fully expect this storm to blow by without causing much damage, heed the warnings of the past and be safe rather than sorry. Do your due diligence and make sure you're emergency preparedness logistics are in order, just in case things take an unexpected turn.
