Water Rationing for Venezuela's Capital City

Caracus, Venezuela's Capital City, is experiencing a water shortage apparently brought on by the 'El Nino' weather phenomenon reducing rainfall markedly and thrusting the area into drought conditions.

Residents there are facing intermittent cuts in their water service for as much as 48 hours per week, likely lasting through the duration of the current dry season that isn't expected to end until May 2010.

Are you prepared should such rationing be instituted where you live in the future?
