Colorado State University Bans Guns On Campus

Say what you will, but I am still of the mind that the more firearms in the hands of good people the better. That's the only way tragedies like Virginia Tech and others are ever going to be avoided. Rulings like the one described below do nothing but provide would-be killers with a ready-made population of potential victims that they can rest assured will be unarmed and therefore unable to defend themselves.

Colorado State University Bans Guns On Campus | Seattle Times Newspaper: "Joining most major colleges nationwide, Colorado State University has banned concealed weapons on campus with a vote that pitted faculty asking for a prohibition against students demanding the right to carry guns.

The university's Board of Governors voted 7-0 Friday to require gun bans on its campuses in Fort Collins and Pueblo.

Guns are already off-limits at K-12 schools in Colorado, the University of Colorado and at virtually all campuses nationwide. But Colorado State University has followed state law that allows people to carry guns, even concealed weapons with the right permit.
