So, when your comment doesn't appear immediately, *DO NOT* throw a hissy-fit and assume I'm refusing negative comments (yes, it really happened). I approve pretty much everything that isn't obvious SPAM, negative or not, and I promise you that will include your hissy-fit comments, accusing me of a grand conspiracy to squash dissenting ideas (also really happened). The result, of course, being that you will look like a fool, and the rest of us will laugh heartily at your stupidity.
This is actually a really good infographic that hits on most of the major points for how to pick a great survival knife. I agree that a fixed blade is ideal; however, having a folding knife at all times is perhaps more realistic (easier to carry). Great info!
ReplyDeleteThe best design of a pocket knife is the one that should feel comfortable in your hand. A poorly designed knife wouldn’t give you the right grip and wouldn’t feel right
ReplyDeleteLove the infographic and the last part about using your brain is great. Most people who search for answers about a topic like this will disregard that fact. The only thing I would add to the "use your brain" section is that you should determine the jobs you want the knife for and the conditions it will most likely be used in before you decide on things like blade length or grip type. That article on survivalcache helped shaped my opinion in the early days.
