Folks,
I'm writing this at just past Midnight on 29 October. My purpose is to let you know that I've scheduled the blog to automatically post articles (including this) later today (29 October), Tuesday (30 October), as well as Wednesday (31 October). I'm doing this because of the storm that is currently headed my way.
Forecasts are changing with every report, but it looks like we're almost assured to see some significant accumulation. The reason I'm thinking ahead and scheduling the blog to do its thing with or without me, however, is because the snow is expected to be "heavy and wet," which means there's a good chance we may lose power. If none of that occurs, I'll pop in from time-to-time and update everybody. Maybe I'll post some pictures. If we do get put in the dark, however, just know that we'll be roughing it, secure in the knowledge that you fine folks will still be receiving some content from us; and, if you haven't heard from me by the evening of 1 November, then that means we're still in the dark.
If you too are in the path of Hurricane Sandy and the Frankenstorm blizzard she's due to meld into, be safe and be prepared.
Sincerely,
Simple Man

All comments on this blog are moderated, meaning they don't appear until approved by me. So, when your comment doesn't appear immediately, *DO NOT* throw a hissy-fit and assume I'm refusing negative comments (yes, it really happened). I approve pretty much everything that isn't obvious SPAM, negative or not, and I promise you that will include your hissy-fit comments, accusing me of a grand conspiracy to squash dissenting ideas (also really happened). The result, of course, being that you will look like a fool, and the rest of us will laugh heartily at your stupidity.
