FBI: More People Killed With Hammers/Clubs Than Rifles

Before anybody gets their knickers in a bunch trying to debunk this, be advised that it is speaking specifically of rifles, seeing as how that's the hot-ticket for the Anti-Gun / Anti-2nd Amendment crowd right now.

The FBI sites a significant cross-section of seemingly mundane items that are used to commit a whole slew of murders other than the oft-demonized firearm, pointing out that baseball bats seem to be a weapon of choice in many such cases... yet, wondrously, nobody is talking about banning baseball or trying to legislate regulations requiring employees at sporting goods places to undergo background checks before being allowed to sell them.

Gun control fails to address the causes of the violence. Period.

FBI: More People Killed With Hammers/Clubs Than Rifles :: Jan Morgan Media: While gun control advocates are scrambling to label many of American’s rifles as ‘assault weapons’ and ban them (in order to keep us safe) , the government’s own law enforcement agency stats prove that rifles are not the problem.

According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle.

This is an interesting fact, particularly amid the Democrats’ feverish push to ban many different rifles, ostensibly to keep us safe of course...

So, when your comment doesn't appear immediately, *DO NOT* throw a hissy-fit and assume I'm refusing negative comments (yes, it really happened). I approve pretty much everything that isn't obvious SPAM, negative or not, and I promise you that will include your hissy-fit comments, accusing me of a grand conspiracy to squash dissenting ideas (also really happened). The result, of course, being that you will look like a fool, and the rest of us will laugh heartily at your stupidity.
